There’s a little powder-room just inside the entry and a stairway leading to the upper level where the laundry room is conveniently located and 2 master Queen sized suites, with luxury linens, where you’ll be tempted to sleep in each morning, but you won’t, because you wouldn’t want to miss the sheer luxury of lying in bed, looking out, from between your toes at the stunning spectacle of sunrise over the mountains, reflected in the glassy lake in the valley below! The cottage has an open floorplan on the main level, with a large Living Room, furnished with overstuffed couches, a queen sized sofa bed & chairs upholstered in sumptuous soft fabric, sparkling white woodwork, ceilings & beams, set against crisp, brightly patterned draperies lavishly echoed throughout the cottage; An inviting seating arrangement centered around the massive stone, woodburning fireplace with raised hearth, mantel, bookcases on either side and drawers with an assortment of games, videos and books. Double French doors open out to the cozy little covered porch with 2 steps leading down to an open sun deck with seating, space for the portable fire pit & a small butterfly garden with a charming little waterfall flowing into the lily pond below. The first thing that you’ll notice out here, (after you’ve regained your breath from the awesome view), is the relative quiet. Considering its close proximety to town and main roadways, (just 7 minutes to either Young Harris College or the GA Mtn Fairgrounds) you’d expect to hear traffic, but all you’ll hear is the sound of the gentle breeze playing through the trees, native songbirds and the rushing flow of the little waterfall. It truly is a treat for the senses! Back indoors, the Living Room flows into the open Dining Room, tastefully furnished in traditional style, with ample seating for all “and then some”. Dining is only made more enjoyable by the uninterrupted view, as seen through the huge picture windows. The sparkling gourmet kitchen has everything one could need for dining-in or entertaining, with convenient service to the dining area & a breakfast bar with stools doubles as extra seating for the dining area.
